About
Ella Aiken is a partner in the Litigation Group at Gallagher, Evelius & Jones, where she counsels clients in commercial litigation, business disputes, intellectual property enforcement, and medical malpractice defense. Her practice also includes advising healthcare and education clients on regulatory compliance and privacy-related legal issues.
Ella earned her J.D. from Columbia University School of Law in 2011, where she was named a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. That same year, she received her LL.M. in International Criminal Law, cum laude, from the University of Amsterdam Law School. She completed her undergraduate studies at Columbia University in 2007.
Before joining Gallagher, Ella practiced civil litigation and intellectual property law at a firm in New York City. She is admitted to practice in both Maryland and New York, and before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
Ella has built a reputation for delivering effective legal strategies in high-stakes disputes and regulatory challenges. She is especially skilled in guiding clients through matters involving healthcare compliance, privacy law, and intellectual property protection, offering forward-thinking advice to mitigate risk and support institutional goals.
Beyond her legal practice, Ella Aiken is dedicated to public service. She represents immigrant women and children pro bono through the Tahirih Justice Center and has served on the boards of Maryland Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts and Itineris.
