Ronald L. Fein

Ronald L. Fein has over four decades of legal experience in corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, securities regulation, and real estate finance. He has advised both public and private companies, debt and equity holders, and corporate stakeholders in a variety of complex legal matters. His guidance has helped clients navigate challenging business environments with clarity and confidence.

Ronald completed his undergraduate studies at Colby College in 1961 before earning his Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego in 1966. These academic milestones laid the groundwork for his accomplished legal career, equipping him with the knowledge and skills to excel in corporate law, finance, and securities regulation.

Ronald began his legal career at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher, building a strong foundation in corporate law. He later served as Chief Deputy Commissioner of the California Department of Corporations under Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr., gaining high-level regulatory and compliance experience. Ronald then became firm-wide Chairman of M&A and Corporate Finance at Jones Day (formerly Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue), where he led complex transactions. Across every role, he has focused on helping businesses with entity formation, financing, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate restructuring.

Ronald has contributed significantly to the legal profession through active involvement in organizations like the Los Angeles County Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the State Bar of California. His work has included leadership on corporate governance, securities regulation, and business ethics committees, reflecting his deep commitment to advancing legal standards and education.

Ronald has authored multiple legal publications covering corporate law, securities regulation, and capital formation. His scholarship has been influential in both academic and professional settings.
