Roger D. Rowe

Roger D. Rowe is a shareholder at Lax Vaughan Fortson Rowe & Threet, P.A., where his practice emphasizes business litigation and appellate advocacy. He represents clients in disputes involving contracts, corporate conflicts, fraud, unfair competition, real estate, and complex class actions. With nearly four decades of experience, he has tried numerous high-stakes business cases in both state and federal courts.

Roger graduated magna cum laude from Arkansas State University in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance before earning his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1985. At SMU, he was a Hatton W. Sumners Scholar, Leading Articles Editor for the Journal of Air Law & Commerce, and a member of the Order of the Barristers. These achievements reflect both his academic excellence and his early dedication to legal scholarship.

Before joining the firm in 2003, Roger spent nearly eighteen years practicing with one of Arkansas’s oldest and largest law firms, honing his skills in corporate and commercial disputes. His career includes authorship of influential legal publications, including work on the Arkansas Model Fraud Jury Instructions and articles addressing constitutional and international aviation law issues.

Roger D. Rowe is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the U.S. Tax Court, the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas. He has served by appointment as Special Associate Justice of the Arkansas Supreme Court and chaired the state’s Select Committee on Model Jury Instructions – Civil. Recognized with Martindale-Hubbell’s AV® rating and listed in Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers, he is regarded for his integrity, skill, and leadership in the legal community.
