Roderic Steakley

Roderic G. Steakley is a partner at Dentons Sirote in Huntsville, Alabama, where he chairs the Government Contracts practice group. He represents clients in commercial litigation, business torts, corporate governance, and intellectual property disputes, including trademark and copyright infringement. His work spans industries such as aerospace and defense, construction, energy, information technology, and higher education. Roderic Steakley earned his B.A. in Psychology from the University of Alabama in 1972. He then received his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1976, where he later clerked for the Honorable J. Foy Guin, Jr., United States District Judge for the Northern District of Alabama. His academic and professional foundation prepared him for a distinguished career in litigation, government contracts, and intellectual property law.

Throughout his career, Mr. Steakley has secured landmark results for clients, including a jury verdict of more than $50 million in federal court for a shipbuilder subcontractor and major wins in GAO bid protests involving multibillion-dollar government contracts.
