Robert S. Adler

Robert S. Adler is the Managing Partner at SederLaw, where he brings decades of experience in business law, banking & finance, estate planning, and litigation. A Boston University School of Law graduate, Mr. Adler earned his Juris Doctor in 1984 and was honored as a Paul J. Liacos Scholar. He completed his undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at Albany, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology. His academic achievements laid the groundwork for his distinguished legal career.

Mr. Adler serves as outside general counsel to closely held companies, multi-generational family businesses, start-ups, and corporate spin-offs. He provides strategic guidance on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, succession planning, franchise agreements, employment policies, and long-term business strategies. In addition to his corporate practice, Mr. Adler has substantial litigation experience in federal, bankruptcy, and state courts. He has represented clients in commercial disputes, trust and probate litigation, and fiduciary matters. On multiple occasions, courts have appointed him as a Special Trustee or Receiver for trusts and closely held corporations. As a certified mediator and arbitrator, he has been entrusted by both litigating counsel and the courts to facilitate resolution in business and trust disputes.

Mr. Adler is also a leading authority in bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, representing financial institutions, debtors, and creditors in complex insolvency proceedings. His expertise in financial restructuring and foreclosure matters has been instrumental in helping businesses and banks restore troubled credit relationships.
