About
Robert G “Hap” Fry, Jr is a Tulsa divorce lawyer with more than 40 years of legal experience. His practice focuses on high-conflict, high-resolution divorce and child custody litigation. He also handles family law matters involving property rights, abuse, sexual molestation, and related issues.
Robert earned his B.A. from Michigan State University in 1964. He earned his J.D. from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 1967. After law school, he served as the Chief Public Defender of Tulsa County for two years before building his family law practice.
Robert is admitted in Oklahoma and the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Oklahoma, since 1968. He was also admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals, 10th Circuit, in 1972. His legal work is now devoted solely to divorce, child custody, and related family law matters.
Robert has received many honors, including 2016 Lawyer of the Year for Family Law in Tulsa by Best Lawyers®, AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell®, Oklahoma Super Lawyer, Best Lawyers in America, and U.S. News and World Report’s List of Best Law Firms.
Robert is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and a past president of the Oklahoma Chapter. He has also served as a CLE speaker on divorce, custody evaluation reports, and cross-examining a psychological expert, sharing his knowledge with other legal professionals.
