Richard L. Traina is an accomplished litigator with over 25 years of experience handling complex cases throughout Louisiana and beyond. He has represented clients in matters involving corporate, banking, contract, intellectual property, tax, and constitutional law.
Richard earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the Florida Institute of Technology in 1984 and subsequently obtained his Juris Doctor from Loyola University College of Law in 1992. While in law school, he was active on the Law Review and Moot Court and served as a teaching assistant for legal writing and advocacy courses. These experiences strengthened his analytical and advocacy skills early in his career.
Throughout his professional career, Richard has practiced in diverse jurisdictions, including the U.S. Virgin Islands and numerous parishes in Louisiana. He spent seven years with the Louisiana Department of Justice, litigating cases involving natural resources, coastal areas, and water bottoms, and advising the Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority. His work in these areas earned him recognition as a leading advocate in coastal and environmental litigation.
