Rebekah Keith McKinney is a principal shareholder at Watson McKinney and dedicates her full legal practice to litigation. Rebekah earned her Juris Doctor from The University of Alabama School of Law in 1995, where she was a member of the Bench & Bar Legal Honor Society. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Development from Vanderbilt University, awarded in 1991. She has been admitted to the Alabama Bar since 1995.
Over her career, Rebekah has received widespread acclaim. She was named to Super Lawyers’ Top 25 Women Lawyers in Alabama and Top 50 in the Mid-South. She served as the first female President of the Alabama Association for Justice and has held leadership roles with the Alabama Civil Justice Foundation, Alabama State Bar, and Huntsville Madison County Bar Association.
Rebekah’s litigation record includes securing a $2.75 million jury verdict in an inverse condemnation case and leading numerous multi-million dollar race discrimination class action settlements. She serves as a Disciplinary Hearing Officer for the Alabama State Bar, sits on the Appellate Rules Committee of the Alabama Supreme Court, and is part of the Judicial Resources Allocation Commission.
