Edwin T. Hood is a highly respected attorney with more than five decades of experience in taxation, estate planning, business law, and international tax planning. Mr. Hood holds multiple degrees in law and taxation. He earned his LLM in Taxation from New York University and received his JD, LLM, and BBA from the University of Iowa College of Law. He is a member of the Missouri, Iowa, and California State Bars, as well as the American and Kansas City-Missouri Bar Associations.

Mr. Hood spent more than 50 years as a law professor at UMKC School of Law, where he taught 22 different courses and directed the Graduate Tax Program. Recognized for his academic excellence, he authored numerous legal texts and was honored with the Pearson Award for Excellence in Teaching. He continues to serve UMKC as an Emeritus Professor.
