R. Wayne Pritchard has spent more than thirty years representing clients in complex intellectual property matters throughout Texas. His practice covers a wide range of areas, including patent, trademark, copyright, and internet domain name law. Wayne began his academic journey at Texas A&M University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering in 1979. He went on to obtain his Doctor of Jurisprudence/Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 1987, marking the start of his legal career.
Wayne’s transition from engineering to law provided him with a unique advantage in the field of intellectual property. His technical background allows him to approach legal challenges with analytical precision, offering clients a clear understanding of both the scientific and legal aspects of their cases. He has handled numerous complex matters involving inventions, product designs, and intellectual property disputes with a focus on achieving lasting protection for his clients.

Wayne was admitted to practice before the United States Patent Office in 1991, broadening his representation to include patent prosecution and related federal proceedings. He is also admitted before all Texas State Courts, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
