Peter C. Riley

Peter C. Riley has decades of experience representing clients in diverse legal matters, including commercial, corporate, real estate, probate, and personal injury litigation. He played a significant role in the 1980s Iowa farm crisis, advocating for farm debtors and contributing to the development of lender liability law through notable appellate cases.

Peter earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Financial Management from the University of Iowa College of Business Administration in 1976. That same year, he passed the CPA Examination. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1980, establishing a strong academic foundation for his legal career.

Admitted to the Iowa bar in 1980, Peter is also authorized to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, and the U.S. Tax Court.
