David J. Hodge is a nationally recognized trial attorney and partner with Morris, King & Hodge, P.C. in Huntsville, Alabama. With nearly two decades of experience, he has secured more than $50 million in verdicts and settlements for clients in personal injury, product liability, mass torts, and business litigation. Known for his ability to take on powerful corporations, Mr. Hodge is dedicated to protecting the rights of individuals and small businesses while achieving outstanding results in complex cases.
Mr. Hodge earned his J.D. with honors from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2000, where he was a Hugo Black Scholar and senior editor of the Law Review. He received his undergraduate degree from Samford University, where he was an active member of the debate team. Following law school, he clerked for Judge Inge P. Johnson of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama before beginning his career in private practice.
Throughout his career, Mr. Hodge has handled complex, high-stakes litigation. His record includes a $17.5 million verdict for a timber company defrauded over equipment, a $3.2 million verdict for a farmer in a livestock case, and significant results in product liability litigation, including defective medical devices. His cases have spanned courts nationwide, from Alabama and Tennessee to California, New York, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. He has also served as Co-Chair of the Settlement Committee in the Blue Cross Blue Shield Antitrust Multidistrict Litigation and has chaired two American Association for Justice product litigation groups.
