Patricia A. Rogers is a shareholder at McAfee & Taft A Professional Corporation in Oklahoma City and co-leader of the firm’s Healthcare Group. Her practice focuses on federal and state healthcare regulation, administrative compliance, health care law, and business consulting. She advises hospitals, physicians, ambulatory surgery centers, home health agencies, DME suppliers, and other providers on complex regulatory, operational, and reimbursement matters.
Patricia earned her B.A. in Anthropology/Pre-Med, magna cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh. She later received her M.H.S. in Health Policy and Management from Johns Hopkins University. She earned her J.D., summa cum laude, from Oklahoma City University, where she served as Managing Editor of the Law Review and was named Outstanding Graduate of the Class of 1999.
Patricia advises clients on Medicare fraud and abuse, Stark Law compliance, HIPAA privacy and security, breach notification, healthcare audits, and payer disputes. Her work includes physician employment arrangements, Medicare enrollment and billing, medical staff bylaws, joint ventures, facility licensing, certificates of need, EMTALA compliance, and accreditation standards. She also leads McAfee & Taft’s HIPAA Compliance and Health Privacy Team and assists clients responding to cyber and ransomware incidents.
Patricia A. Rogers has been recognized by Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America, Oklahoma Super Lawyers, and Martindale-Hubbell. Best Lawyers has named her Oklahoma City Health Care Lawyer of the Year multiple times. Before law school, she held healthcare management positions and worked as an institutional review board administrator. She also served as an active-duty and reserve officer in the U.S. Air Force Medical Service Corps.
