JoAnne Zboyan

JoAnne Zboyan is an of-counsel attorney and experienced litigator with more than three decades of experience in Colorado courts. She focuses on insurance coverage and bad faith matters, representing insureds with claims involving general liability, disability, health, automobile and significant personal injury, and life insurance. Her broader litigation experience includes commercial disputes, negligence claims, legal malpractice matters, and education-related cases in state and federal courts.

JoAnne earned her J.D. from the University of Denver College of Law in 1984. She also holds an M.S. in Special Education and Reading and a Type D Certificate in School Administration. Before practicing law, she taught in Littleton Public Schools. She began her legal career as an appellate law clerk at the Colorado Court of Appeals, giving her an early foundation in legal research, analysis, and appellate procedure.

JoAnne began her private practice work in an insurance group, where she handled a wide range of coverage issues and claims for insurers. That experience gave her direct knowledge of insurance operations, regulatory issues, and claims handling. For more than 20 years, she has focused on helping insureds make and perfect insurance claims and litigating disputes involving improper denials or delays. She has litigated hundreds of commercial, negligence, and education-related claims and has served as personal counsel to physicians, attorneys, and other professionals.

JoAnne Zboyan is admitted to practice in Colorado and Wyoming, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court. She holds an AV rating and is a member of the Colorado and Arapahoe bar associations. Her community service has included board work with Colorado Ballet, Developmental Pathways, and Adam’s Camp, along with tutoring and mentoring programs in the Denver area.
