About
Owen W. Dukelow is an experienced intellectual property attorney at Kolisch Hartwell, representing clients in patent and trademark prosecution, litigation, and international IP disputes. He counsels innovators in the mechanical and electrical arts, including computer science, internet technologies, and renewable energy, with a strong focus on wind energy systems.
Owen earned his Juris Doctor with great distinction from the McGeorge School of Law in 1996, where he was inducted into the Order of the Coif. He served as both a staff writer and articles editor for the Pacific Law Journal and received the American Jurisprudence Award in Constitutional Law. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering Technology from the Ohio Institute of Technology.
Before entering law, Owen worked as an engineer at Rockwell International. There, he developed digital and analog circuit models and supported the F-111 fighter/bomber navigation upgrade program. His experience in systems integration and aerospace engineering continues to inform his legal work with technology-driven clients.
Admitted to practice in Oregon, California, and Washington, Owen is also registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and admitted to multiple federal courts, including the Federal and Second Circuit Courts of Appeals. His litigation experience includes representing clients in U.S. District Courts and before the International Trade Commission (ITC).
Owen has contributed to notable federal appellate cases, including briefing the Federal Circuit’s precedential decision in Acco Brands, Inc. v. Micro Security Devices, Inc. His practice combines technical precision and litigation skill to protect innovations and resolve complex IP disputes.
