Nisha K. Karnani

Nisha K. Karnani is a partner at Antonini & Cohen Immigration Law Group, where she leads the firm’s employment immigration practice and also represents clients in family immigration matters. Practicing exclusively in immigration law since 2001, she is nationally recognized for her expertise in cases involving survivors of domestic violence, combining legal skill with compassionate advocacy.

Nisha earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Economics with Honors (1998) and her Juris Doctor (2001) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A member of the Georgia Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and the South Asian Bar Associations of Georgia and North America, Nisha actively contributes to the legal and immigrant communities.

Nisha has been honored with numerous distinctions, including Georgia’s Immigration Attorney of the Year by Acquisition International’s Global Immigration & Mobility Awards, recognition on the Lawyers of Color Hot List, the Justice Robert Benham Award for Community Service, and the Raksha Award for Outstanding Pro Bono Legal Services. Her leadership contributions include serving as Honorary Legal Advisor to the Indian Consul General in Atlanta, Trustee of the South Asian Bar Association of North America Foundation, and Board Member of the South Asian Bar Association of Georgia.

Through initiatives like the I-765V Joint Pro Bono Project with Raksha and SABA-GA, she has expanded access to legal resources for vulnerable populations.
