Sonal R. Shah

Sonal R. Shah is the Managing Attorney and a Partner at Antonini & Cohen Immigration Law Group, bringing a decade of exclusive immigration law experience. She represents clients in family-based immigration, removal defense, humanitarian relief, and healthcare immigration, working with recruiting firms, clinical service providers, and health systems nationwide.

Sonal earned her Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and International Studies with honors, and her Juris Doctor, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While in law school, Sonal served as Symposium Editor of the North Carolina Journal of International Law and Commercial Regulation and was a member of the Dean’s Advisory Committee and the James E. & Carolyn B. Davis Society.

Fluent in English, Spanish, Gujarati, and Hindi, Sonal brings a multicultural perspective to her work. She has worked abroad in countries including Malawi, South Africa, Thailand, and India, experiences that deepened her commitment to immigrant advocacy. Her internships with the Immigrant Women’s Program at Legal Momentum in Washington, D.C., and the North Carolina Justice Center further shaped her dedication to protecting immigrant rights.

Sonal is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the State Bar of Florida, the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers (GAWL). She serves on the AILA USCIS Liaison Committee and the AILA Georgia–Alabama Conference Planning Committee.
