Nathan Hernandez is an associate attorney whose practice concentrates on civil litigation at both the trial and appellate levels. He represents businesses and employers in complex commercial disputes and employment law matters, providing strategic advocacy designed to resolve conflicts efficiently while protecting clients’ legal and operational interests.
Nathan earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Covenant College before completing his Juris Doctor at Regent University School of Law. While in law school, he graduated with honors and distinguished himself academically and competitively through extensive involvement in appellate advocacy programs.
Before entering private practice, Nathan served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Glen A. Huff of the Virginia Court of Appeals. In that role, he conducted detailed legal research, evaluated civil and criminal appellate issues, and drafted judicial opinions for both panel and en banc proceedings.
Nathan’s clerkship experience provided him with valuable insight into appellate decision-making and judicial reasoning. This background allows him to approach litigation with a refined understanding of how courts analyze legal arguments, strengthening his ability to craft persuasive briefs and effective trial strategies.
During law school, Nathan was an active member of the nationally ranked Moot Court Board. Serving as Vice Chairman on the Executive Board, he demonstrated leadership and advocacy excellence while competing successfully in multiple moot court competitions at national, regional, and intramural levels.
Nathan’s achievements in appellate advocacy were recognized with the Appellate Advocacy Award upon graduation, in recognition of his exceptional performance in both written and oral advocacy. This distinction reflects his strong analytical skills, command of legal precedent, and ability to present complex arguments clearly and persuasively.
Licensed to practice before Virginia state and federal courts, as well as multiple United States Courts of Appeals, Nathan Hernandez represents clients in commercial litigation, employment disputes, and intellectual property litigation.
