Monica Lira Bravo is a board-certified expert in Immigration and Nationality Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. With a strong commitment to justice, she focuses her practice on family-based immigration, naturalization, removal defense, and humanitarian relief like asylum. Her deep knowledge and care have helped many people build safer, more stable lives.

Monica holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in French from Southern Methodist University and earned her Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University School of Law. Her education laid the groundwork for a career centered on advocacy, cultural understanding, and service to immigrant communities throughout Texas.

Monica has received many honors, including being named a Rising Star in Immigration Law by Texas Super Lawyers Magazine and a Best Lawyer in Dallas by D Magazine from 2016 through 2021. In 2020, she was listed among the Dallas Business Journal’s 40 Under 40, celebrating her professional impact and leadership.

Outside of her legal career, Monica serves as the Board Chair of the Dallas College Board of Trustees, a role she has held since her election in 2016. She represents a district that covers East Dallas and surrounding areas. Monica also actively contributes to several advisory and nonprofit boards focused on legal ethics, women’s leadership, and Hispanic community advancement.

Monica’s past roles include leadership in the Dallas Hispanic Bar Association, the Latino Center for Leadership Development, and the Dallas Bar Association Immigration Law Section. She has contributed her time and skills to many organizations that reflect her dedication to community, justice, and education.

Monica Lira Bravo is a member of several professional associations, including the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Texas Bar Fellows, and the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers. Through every role, she champions fairness and empowers individuals facing complex immigration challenges with knowledge, compassion, and fierce representation.
