He completed his undergraduate education at Texas A&M University, graduating summa cum laude with a degree in English Rhetoric and Composition and a minor in business administration.

Before entering private practice, Mr. Dobbs served as a legal adviser to the Dallas Immigration Court, where he assisted judges on complex immigration matters.
