Mitchell W. Abrahams is a New Jersey commercial real estate attorney with more than 35 years of experience advising national and local landlords, tenants, developers, and property owners. His practice focuses on shopping center, industrial, and office leasing, borrower financing, acquisitions, dispositions, development, and land use. He helps clients negotiate agreements, resolve title and survey concerns, obtain zoning approvals, and complete transactions involving commercial properties across the country.

Abrahams earned his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law and his B.A. from Boston College. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and before the US District Court for the District of New Jersey. His education and admissions support a transactional practice requiring detailed contract analysis, negotiation, financing knowledge, and an understanding of zoning, development, ownership, and property-related regulatory requirements.

Abrahams has represented a landlord in preparing and negotiating leases for more than 120 national shopping centers. His experience includes acquiring, financing, and conducting due diligence for shopping centers throughout the country. He has negotiated an 80,000-square-foot headquarters lease for a national accounting firm and handled leasing for a New Jersey industrial warehouse owner with more than 50 buildings. He also represents applicants and objectors before zoning boards throughout New Jersey.

Mitchell W. Abrahams holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has been selected for The Best Lawyers in America and New Jersey Super Lawyers for real estate law. Best Lawyers named him Lawyer of the Year in 2018, 2020, and 2024.
