Mitch Ackal is a seasoned trial attorney who focuses on complex commercial and business disputes across Texas and nationwide. He represents companies in high-stakes matters involving energy litigation, contract disputes, business divorces, franchise conflicts, and UCC cases. He handles cases in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration and appellate proceedings.
Mitch earned his Undergraduate degree from Rice University. He later attended Louisiana State University for Law School. His academic background, combined with years of courtroom experience, shaped his disciplined and strategic approach to litigation. While at Rice University, he was also a member of the 1999 College World Series team.
Mitch is admitted to practice in Texas and before the United States Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit. He is also admitted to the United States District Court, Eastern District of Texas, United States District Court, Southern District of Texas, and United States District Court, Northern District of Texas. His broad admissions allow him to represent clients in a wide range of jurisdictions.
Mitch serves as national litigation counsel for a global plastics distributor, advising on complex disputes and risk management. His work includes employment matters, trade secrets, restrictive covenants, and product liability claims. He is known for breaking down complicated legal issues into clear strategies that support practical business decisions.
