Mike Assad is a seasoned attorney at Sadek Bankruptcy Law Offices, representing both individual and corporate clients in bankruptcy reorganizations and liquidations. Practicing in the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for all districts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Mike delivers strategic counsel tailored to clients navigating financial hardship.

Mike earned his J.D. from Widener University Delaware Law School and his B.A. from Thomas Edison State University. During law school, he contributed as a research assistant on the First Amendment treatise Small and Nimmer on Freedom of Speech and was treasurer of the Youth Court Society, volunteering in Chester public schools.

Mike’s legal career centers on representing debtors and creditors in complex bankruptcy matters. His work includes home foreclosure defense, consumer bankruptcy, and creditor negotiations. He currently serves on the local bankruptcy rules committee for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and as Third Circuit leader for the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA).

Mike handles Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies, mortgage and tax foreclosures, creditor litigation, and consumer financial disputes. His practical, client-centered approach aims to stop collections, lower debt burdens, and restore financial stability for individuals and businesses.

Mike Assad is admitted to practice in the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Pennsylvania and the District of New Jersey. Mike is an active NACBA member and a Pennsylvania Bar Institute lecturer. He is also recognized as a trusted legal voice in the region, contributing to ongoing legislative and legal education efforts across the bankruptcy field.

Named to Atlantic Weekly’s “Top 40 Under 40” in 2009, Mike brings legal expertise and public service experience to his role. He has been a respected presence in New Jersey politics and legal reform since his early election to public office in 2006.
