With more than two decades of experience, Chance McGhee has dedicated his legal career to helping individuals and small businesses overcome financial hardship. Known for his compassionate approach and deep understanding of bankruptcy law, he works with clients to find practical solutions that lead to financial recovery and peace of mind.

Chance earned his undergraduate degree in Management/Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin, completing it in just 3½ years between 1984 and 1987. He went on to obtain his Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 1994. His background in accounting enhances his ability to analyze complex financial matters with precision.

Chance has handled thousands of consumer and small business bankruptcy cases. His legal practice includes Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy, as well as helping clients prevent home foreclosure and stop creditor harassment. He ensures that clients are fully informed throughout each stage of the process, creating clarity during uncertain times.

Chance is licensed to practice in Federal Bankruptcy Courts across the Western, Southern, and Northern Districts of Texas. He serves as a Director and past Treasurer of the San Antonio Bankruptcy Bar Association and is a member of the Federal Bar Association. These roles reflect his ongoing commitment to the legal profession and the bankruptcy field.
