Michael Waks

Michael Waks is a Long Beach personal injury lawyer who represents people seriously injured because of another party’s actions. Michael graduated from the State University of New York at Albany in 1978. He received his JD from Southwestern University School of Law in 1982. While attending law school, he clerked for a large defense firm that represented asbestos manufacturers. Reading case files and meeting people whose lives had been damaged by asbestos shaped his decision to represent injured people rather than defendants.

Michael works with medical and technical professionals to investigate claims and develop well-supported cases. His approach includes obtaining police and accident reports, photographs, witness statements, medical records, and billing documents. When appropriate, he also uses accident-scene reconstruction and detailed legal research.
