Krista G. LaFave

Krista G. LaFave is an attorney at Warshafsky Law Firm, where she represents people in personal injury and dispute matters across Wisconsin. Her practice includes car, truck, motorcycle, aviation, construction, railroad, and slip and fall accidents, along with wrongful death, product liability, nursing home abuse, and serious injury claims. LaFave studied at Tulane University and the University of Wisconsin Madison. Her legal training included work as a judicial extern with the US District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, an extern with the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and a judicial intern with the Wisconsin Supreme Court. She gained experience through the Tulane University Legal Assistance Program and a legal internship in Paris, building a broad foundation in litigation, courts, and client service.

LaFave began her career as a law clerk with the Milwaukee County Circuit Court before joining Simpson & Deardoff, S.C., where she represented insurance companies. She joined Warshafsky Law Firm in 2016 and shifted her focus to representing injured people. Her court and insurance defense experience gives insight into how claims are evaluated and contested. Krista G. LaFave has held leadership and public service roles alongside her legal practice. She was elected Municipal Court Judge for the City of Wauwatosa in 2022 and has served in leadership roles with the Association for Women Lawyers and the State Bar of Wisconsin.
