Minh T. Nguyen

Minh T. Nguyen is a Long Beach, California, trial lawyer who represents people in serious personal injury and wrongful death matters. His practice includes car, truck, and train crashes, construction site accidents, dog bites, dangerous property conditions, automotive product liability, burns, and car fires. Admitted to the California Bar in 2002, he also practices before California state courts, the California Courts of Appeal, the Supreme Court of California, and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.

Minh studied economics with a minor in Asian American Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles. He later earned his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, now known as UC Law San Francisco, where he focused on litigation. During law school, he received the Witkin Award in Legal Research and Writing, served as a third-year class representative, and participated on the Admissions Committee and Academic Standards Committee.

Minh is known for accepting difficult cases that other attorneys have declined. Early in his career, he represented a five-year-old boy injured in an intersection crash and proved that the intersection was dangerous, securing a $3.5 million recovery. In December 2024, he obtained a $55 million wrongful death verdict for the surviving wife and minor child of a man killed in a trucking collision. Across his career, he has recovered more than $400 million in settlements and verdicts for clients.

Minh T. Nguyen served as the 2023 president and first Asian American president of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles. He has been recognized by Super Lawyers since 2014 and has received honors from Vietnamese American, Chinese American, and Pilipino American bar associations. He also teaches and mentors younger lawyers, supports college and law school scholarships, and serves on the board of the YMCA of Greater Long Beach. His work reflects a commitment to trial advocacy, community service, and client support.
