Michael V. Cibella is the founder of the Law Offices of Michael V. Cibella, LLC, where he concentrates his practice on criminal defense and civil litigation. With over 15 years of courtroom experience, he represents a wide range of clients—from corporate executives to everyday citizens—facing serious legal challenges.

Michael earned his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School, where he was honored for trial advocacy and served as captain of the regional champion trial team. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at Albany. He is licensed to practice law in both New York and New Jersey, including the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

Prior to founding his firm, Michael served as a Senior Prosecutor in the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, trying violent felony cases to verdict. He then worked at two top New York litigation firms, gaining extensive experience in complex civil and commercial litigation across trial and appellate courts.

Michael has tried numerous serious criminal cases, including charges of murder, attempted murder, and gang assault. He has also achieved dismissals or favorable non-jail outcomes in hundreds of cases involving DWI, domestic violence, embezzlement, and more.
