Michael Groh

Michael Groh is a committed employment law attorney with Murphy Law Group, LLC, where he has represented employees since 2014 in a wide range of workplace matters. From discrimination and retaliation to whistleblower protections and wage violations, Michael advocates for workers throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey with legal precision and compassion.

Michael earned his B.A. degree with honors from the University of Delaware in 2010, where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from the George Washington University Law School in 2013. During law school, he clerked at a boutique firm focused on employment discrimination class actions and represented low-income clients through the Public Justice Advocacy Clinic.

Michael’s practice includes representing employees under key employment laws such as Title VII, ADA, FMLA, ADEA, OSHA, and NLRA, as well as state statutes like the PHRA, PFPO, LAD, and CEPA. He has significant experience litigating collective and class action wage and hour claims under the FLSA and Pennsylvania’s wage laws, helping clients recover millions in unpaid wages alongside Founding Member Michael Murphy.

In addition to his litigation practice, Michael previously worked as a legal consultant with the American Bar Association’s Criminal Justice Section. There, he contributed to reform initiatives addressing civil disqualifications that hinder employment for individuals with prior criminal convictions, demonstrating his broader commitment to justice and reintegration.

Michael Groh is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York, as well as multiple federal district courts. He has been selected to the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list for eight consecutive years from 2016 to 2023, a testament to his impact in the employment law field and his dedication to defending the rights of workers with integrity and skill.
