Michael A. Snyder is a Columbus attorney and Partner and Environmental & Energy Industry Sector Chair at Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, with extensive experience in commercial and business law. He represents manufacturers, energy companies, commercial landlords, franchisors, individuals, small businesses, large corporations, and nonprofit organizations. He regularly handles complex disputes involving franchises, environmental regulations, commercial real estate, tort claims, and workplace safety matters. Michael earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Capital University Law School, where he was a member of the Capital University Law Review and Order of the Curia. He earned his B.A., cum laude, from Ohio University. He was admitted to the Ohio bar in 1998. He is also admitted to multiple federal courts, including the Sixth Circuit and federal district courts in Ohio and Indiana. His admissions span jurisdictions.
Michael has handled environmental litigation involving the Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act, along with regulatory disputes and challenges to administrative rules and statutes. He has represented clients before the US Environmental Appeals Board, Ohio Environmental Review Commission, Ohio EPA, Ohio Liquor Control Commission, and other agencies. His work also includes commercial real estate disputes, tort matters, workplace safety actions, and other complex business conflicts requiring strategic litigation experience.
