Michael A. McCabe

Michael A. McCabe is a seasoned trial attorney and a respected leader at Munck Wilson Mandala, where he co-chairs the litigation and employment & labor law sections. A member of the firm’s executive committee, Michael is recognized for his sharp litigation skills, in-depth case preparation, and outstanding results in high-stakes trials. His legal work focuses on complex commercial disputes, employment litigation, trade secret protection, and class action cases.

Michael earned his J.D. cum laude from Texas Tech University School of Law in 1998 and holds a B.A. in Psychology from Tulane University, awarded in 1994. Following law school, he clerked for Federal District Judge John H. McBryde in Fort Worth, Texas—an experience that laid the foundation for his extensive courtroom success.

Over the years, Michael has consistently delivered high-impact trial results for his clients. In 2023, he won a complete defense verdict and secured a favorable breach of contract judgment in a complex wrongful termination case. In 2021, he led a two-week jury trial that resulted in an $86 million verdict—ranked among the Top 20 Verdicts in Texas and the Top 100 Verdicts nationwide. His earlier successes include obtaining an $88 million jury award in a patent and trade secret dispute and winning a Texas Supreme Court decision that dismissed a high-stakes defamation lawsuit against his client.

Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, Michael regularly obtains court-ordered injunctions to protect confidential information and trade secrets. He represents clients across various industries, including aerospace, energy, healthcare, and technology.

Licensed in Texas since 1998, Michael is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Fifth and Federal Circuit Courts of Appeals, and all U.S. District Courts in Texas.
