Melissa G. Cassell is a partner whose practice focuses on commercial real estate, corporate law, and employment matters. Licensed in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia, she advises businesses with operations across state lines. Her work centers on practical, transaction-focused solutions tailored to complex business needs.

Melissa earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing and Economics from the University of South Carolina in 2009. She later received her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2013, developing a strong foundation in business, real estate, and corporate law.

Melissa’s transactional practice includes representing clients in commercial real estate acquisitions and negotiating a variety of commercial lending arrangements. She also drafts and negotiates asset and stock acquisitions, leases, employment and severance agreements, service contracts, and buy-sell agreements, supporting complex corporate ownership and long-term business planning.

With a distinct focus on healthcare law, Melissa represents dentists, physicians, and physical therapists in corporate and employment matters. She assists both for-profit and nonprofit providers with employment, partnership, and compliance requirements, guiding clients through local and national regulations affecting healthcare operations and organizational structure.
