Matt Marcellino

Matt Marcellino is a founding partner at Marcellino & Tyson, PLLC, where he brings extensive experience in both family law and business litigation. His legal practice spans complex divorce and custody matters to sophisticated corporate governance and dispute resolution for business owners.

Matt earned his law degree from Tulane University Law School and also studied law at Cambridge University in England. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the College of Charleston. Since his admission to the North Carolina Bar in 2007, Matt has been licensed in all U.S. District Courts throughout the state, making him a versatile advocate in both state and federal matters.

Matt assists clients with equitable distribution, child custody and support, and spousal maintenance in family law. Many of his clients are entrepreneurs, whom he guides in protecting their businesses during divorce. In business law, he advises on entity formation, M&A transactions, employment matters, partnership disputes, and contract strategy, focusing on practical and cost-effective solutions.

Matt Marcellino has earned numerous accolades, including being named #1 Young Gun by Business North Carolina in 2018.
