Mark J. Moxness

Mark J. Moxness is a Shareholder at Monroe Moxness Berg PA and a member of the firm’s estate and small business planning groups. With more than three decades of experience, he assists clients with estate planning, wealth preservation, business structuring, and transition planning. Moxness also provides outside counsel services to emerging businesses, offering practical legal strategies that balance immediate needs with long-term goals. His practice integrates corporate law and tax law to deliver comprehensive solutions.

Moxness earned his B.S. in Accounting from St. Cloud State University before completing his J.D. at the University of San Diego. He began his career in San Diego, practicing tax law with Deloitte & Touche, later moving to a mid-sized firm where he expanded his practice to include estate planning, real estate, and corporate law. During that time, he was certified by the California Board of Legal Specialization as a specialist in taxation law. He is admitted to the bars of both Minnesota and California.

Over the course of his career, Moxness has guided clients through complex matters such as business succession planning, mergers and acquisitions, tax-efficient wealth transfers, and estate administration.
