Mark F. Pomerantz

Mark F. Pomerantz is a trial lawyer and litigator with extensive experience in white-collar criminal, regulatory, and complex commercial lawsuits and disputes. He serves as Of Counsel in the Litigation Department at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP. His work includes government investigations, internal investigations, jury trials, arbitrations, and appellate matters. He has represented corporations and individuals in proceedings involving the Justice Department, the SEC, and state and local prosecutors.

Mark earned a B.A. from Harvard College and a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School. During law school, he served as editor-in-chief of the Michigan Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif.

Mark has handled matters involving securities and bank fraud, mail and wire fraud, RICO, FCPA violations, tax offenses, bribery, and other alleged corporate misconduct. His financial services work has included matters involving equity research analysts, structured finance, initial public offerings, mutual funds, and securities enforcement. He has tried cases before juries and arbitration panels and has argued dozens of appeals in courts across the country. His background includes service as a federal prosecutor in the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York.

Mark F. Pomerantz has taught advanced criminal procedure at Harvard Law School and federal criminal litigation, appellate advocacy, and contracts at Columbia Law School. He has guest lectured at Stanford Law School. His professional background combines private litigation, government service, appellate advocacy, and teaching. He continues to work on complex criminal, regulatory, and commercial disputes involving corporations, executives, and individuals.
