Marie A. Mattox is an accomplished attorney with more than two decades of experience in employment law and civil rights. She has successfully represented clients in state, federal, and appellate courts throughout Florida. Her litigation has not only secured justice and compensation but also set important precedents that strengthened workplace protections and civil liberties.

Marie began her academic journey at Florida State University, earning a B.S. in Criminology in 1979, followed by a Master of Science in Criminology in 1982. She continued at Florida State University College of Law, where she graduated with honors. She was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1988 and is licensed to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Northern Districts of Florida, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

Marie has been a dedicated advocate for clients in Northern Florida since 1987 and launched her own law firm in 1995. Known for her strong defense of constitutional rights, she focuses on employment discrimination, workplace retaliation, and related civil rights matters. In addition to representing individual clients, Marie’s impact includes helping drive broader policy and systemic change. Her firm also includes attorneys licensed in Georgia, allowing clients throughout North Florida and Georgia to receive seamless, knowledgeable legal representation.
