Marcus A. Ross

Marcus A. Ross is a Columbus attorney at Marcus A. Ross Law who represents clients in criminal defense law, traffic, OVI/DUI, family law, and divorce matters. He began his legal career as an Assistant City Prosecutor for the Criminal Division of the Columbus City Attorney’s Office in 1997. He handled numerous bench and jury trials involving traffic, criminal, and OVI/DUI charges. He brings more than two decades of experience to misdemeanor and felony criminal cases across Ohio.

Marcus earned his B.S. from Hampton University and his M.A. from The Ohio State University. He earned his J.D. from Capital University Law School. He has been licensed as a member of the Ohio State Bar since 1997. He was admitted to the US District Court for the Southern District of Ohio in 2004 and the Northern District of Ohio in 2006. He later gained admission to the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in 2015.

Marcus handles criminal defense matters involving domestic violence, DUI/OVI, felonies, drug charges, juvenile delinquency, misdemeanors, traffic violations, sex offense accusations, and theft. He also represents clients in family law matters involving adoption, child support, parentage, custody, and parenting time. He assists clients with divorce and dissolution, alimony or spousal support, and asset and debt division. Marcus A. Ross established his dedicated criminal, traffic, and OVI/DUI defense practice in 2007. He has practiced extensively in Mayor’s Courts in Franklin and adjacent counties and maintains professional relationships that broaden resources available for client matters.
