About
Marc Pera is an Ohio and Kentucky trial lawyer representing people who have suffered catastrophic injuries or lost loved ones because of negligence. He handles complex personal injury and medical malpractice matters involving medical negligence, ordinary negligence, and trucking negligence. After beginning his career defending insurers and large corporations, he moved to plaintiffs’ work in 2002. That defense experience helps him understand how companies evaluate claims and develop litigation strategies.
Marc earned his J.D. from The Ohio State University College of Law in 1996 and a B.A. from Gustavus Adolphus College. He was admitted to the Ohio bar in 1998 and the Kentucky bar in 2013. His legal education and defense experience built a strong foundation for analyzing liability, medical evidence, damages, and insurance strategies. This background supports detailed preparation, practical judgment, and effective courtroom advocacy in serious injury cases.
Marc has represented injured clients and families in catastrophic injury and wrongful death matters for more than two decades. His work includes claims arising from medical negligence, ordinary negligence, and trucking negligence. He also teaches other lawyers through programs for trial lawyers and bar associations, addressing subjects such as medical malpractice, depositions, opening statements, closing arguments, damages, and trial tactics. His experience combines litigation practice with continuing legal education leadership.
Marc Pera has received sustained recognition for personal injury and medical malpractice advocacy. He was selected among Ohio Super Lawyers’ Top 5 Personal Injury lawyers for 2026 and has appeared in the Top 50 Cincinnati and Top 100 Ohio lists since 2013. He became a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers in 2022 and has held leadership roles with multiple trial lawyer associations in Ohio for many years.
