Marc C. Forsythe

Marc C. Forsythe is a founding partner of Goe Forsythe & Hodges LLP in Irvine, California, where he focuses on commercial litigation, bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, receiverships, and assignments for the benefit of creditors. He brings over three decades of combined legal and accounting experience to develop strategic solutions for complex financial matters.

Marc earned his B.A. in Accounting with honors from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1984, becoming a Certified Public Accountant in Nevada from 1985 to 1990. In 1990, he graduated from McGeorge School of Law, where he served as Case Note Editor for the Pacific Law Journal and earned American Jurisprudence Awards in reorganizations and estate law.

Before launching his current firm in 2019, Marc co-founded Goe & Forsythe LLP in 1998 and previously practiced at several leading law firms, including Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison. He also served as a law clerk to Judge James N. Barr of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. With a CPA background and early experience at Ernst & Young, Marc brings sophisticated insight into complex financial structures, positioning him as a go-to attorney for business litigation, bankruptcy, and insolvency matters.

Marc C. Forsythe represents clients in Chapter 7 and 11 debtor cases, complex commercial disputes, and out-of-court workouts. His work often involves evaluating whether bankruptcy, an assignment for the benefit of creditors, or another resolution best serves his clients’ interests. Admitted to all California state and federal courts and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, he is an active member of leading professional organizations, including the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Orange County Bankruptcy Forum.
