Lisa Ehrich is a seasoned attorney concentrating her practice in litigation, government law, labor and employment, and insurance defense. She regularly defends state and local governmental entities, along with their employees, in complex civil, constitutional, personal injury, and employment discrimination matters. With a career spanning decades, she has established herself as a trusted advocate for clients facing challenging and high-stakes legal disputes.
Lisa earned her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and graduated magna cum laude from Tufts University. Following law school, she clerked for the Honorable J. Sydney Hoffman of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania, gaining valuable judicial experience that informs her litigation practice. She is admitted to practice in Virginia and Pennsylvania, as well as before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
Lisa’s work includes authoring successful summary judgment and appellate briefs in federal courts addressing constitutional claims under the First, Fourth, Eighth, and Fourteenth Amendments. She has also litigated significant cases involving Title VII, the ADA, and the ADEA. Her track record reflects a commitment to protecting her clients’ rights and achieving favorable outcomes across a broad range of legal issues involving governmental liability, employment disputes, and constitutional challenges.
In addition to her legal practice, Lisa Ehrich is actively involved in the community. She has served in leadership roles with The Up Center, Girls on the Run Hampton Roads, and the Virginia Conflict Resolution Center. Recognized for her contributions to both law and community service, she has been named among Coastal Virginia’s Top Lawyers in labor and employment law in 2023 and 2025, highlighting her professional excellence and dedication.
