About

Linda M. Correia is a nationally recognized civil rights attorney and founding partner of Correia & Puth, PLLC. With 32 years of experience, she has devoted her legal career to representing employees in cases involving employment discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, whistleblower claims, and Title IX violations under state and federal civil rights laws.

Ms. Correia holds a Juris Doctor from the Washington College of Law at American University and a Bachelor of Arts from Boston University. She is licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia and Massachusetts and was inducted into the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the field.

Throughout her career, Ms. Correia has fiercely advocated gender equity and workplace justice. She has successfully represented coaches, educators, and students in landmark Title IX and employment discrimination cases. Among her most notable achievements is her role as co-counsel in Hartman v. Powell, a historic gender discrimination class action that resulted in a $508 million settlement—the largest under the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Correia advises employees on executive compensation and severance agreements. Super Lawyers frequently recognize her, Best Lawyers in America, Washingtonian Magazine, and Lawdragon 500 for her impact in employment law.

Beyond her legal work, Linda M. Correia serves on the boards of the National Employment Lawyers Association, the Public Justice Foundation, and the Trial Lawyers Association of Metropolitan Washington, D.C. She is also a respected lecturer and legal educator, often presenting on litigation strategy and employment law topics to legal professionals across the country.
