Leah F. Shotwell is a compassionate and results-driven family law attorney who helps clients navigate divorce, custody, child support, paternity, and guardianship matters. Her approach is rooted in clear communication and practical solutions, and she focuses on achieving outcomes that empower her clients to transition into the next chapter of life with strength and stability.
Leah earned her Bachelor’s degree magna cum laude from Gonzaga University in 2008 and her Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho College of Law in December 2010. She was admitted to the Idaho State Bar in April 2011. Leah’s academic excellence laid the foundation for her thoughtful, informed, and strategic legal practice.
Leah also serves as a court-appointed Guardian Ad Litem for children, incapacitated adults, and persons with disabilities. She is a member of the Idaho State Bar Family Law Section and currently serves on the council. Leah graduated from the Leadership Meridian program in 2014 and received the Leadership Hall of Fame Award in 2016.
Leah regularly volunteers in the community and has taught as a Sound Start instructor through the Idaho Volunteer Lawyer’s Program. Her passion for advocacy extends beyond the courtroom, and she is committed to helping families find resolution during some of life’s most challenging transitions.
