Lauren V. Lewis

Lauren V. Lewis is a dedicated family law attorney who helps clients through separation, divorce, and custody matters with a calm and solution-focused approach. She believes strongly in maintaining dignity and compassion throughout the process, encouraging resolution outside the courtroom whenever possible to reduce emotional and financial strain.

Lauren began her education at the University of South Carolina Honors College, where she graduated with honors. After a year of working in North Carolina state government, she earned her Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2007. In 2013, she earned the distinction of becoming a board-certified Family Law Specialist by the North Carolina Board of Legal Specialization.

Lauren concentrates much of her practice on alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and collaborative divorce. She is an active member of the Mecklenburg County Collaborative Family Law Practice Group. Her work often centers on resolving legal matters through out-of-court agreements, helping clients avoid the prolonged stress of litigation. When court involvement becomes necessary, she is fully prepared to advocate effectively on behalf of her clients.

Lauren also serves as a parenting coordinator and handles cases involving alimony, child support, child custody, and equitable distribution. She provides guidance in drafting prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, as well as separation agreements. Her goal is to help clients reach fair, lasting outcomes that reflect their unique circumstances and priorities.

Lauren V. Lewis supports the community beyond her legal work. She volunteers with Girls on the Run of Charlotte as an Advisory Board member and serves on the steering committee for the Fighting for Women with Fashion initiative. Through the Council for Children’s Rights, she also provides pro bono legal support for families in need, showing her unwavering commitment to children’s well-being and family empowerment.
