Shawnna Riggers

With a legal career grounded in compassion and experience, Shawnna Riggers has spent nearly two decades guiding Arizona families through sensitive legal matters. Her work emphasizes reducing emotional stress while securing fair outcomes in cases involving divorce, child custody, and adoption. Shawnna aims to help families move forward with clarity and peace.

Shawnna’s educational path began at Arizona State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the Barrett Honors College. She then pursued her Juris Doctor from Seattle University School of Law. During law school, she worked in the law library, taught legal research, and supported Westlaw users, developing a strong foundation in legal analysis.

Shawnna launched her legal career in 2006 with a Montana law office, supporting small businesses. In 2007, she relocated to Arizona and focused her practice entirely on family law by 2010. She is known for her thoughtful counsel and strong litigation skills when a settlement isn’t possible. Shawnna also strives to ease the adoption process and guide birth parents in making selfless decisions.

Shawnna is an active member of the State Bar of Arizona and its Juvenile Law Division Executive Committee. Shawnna has also served with the Maricopa County Bar Association. Her excellence has earned her recognition, including being named Attorney of the Year for the East Valley in 2010–2011 by the Family Lawyers Assistance Project.

Shawnna Riggers gives back to the community through volunteer efforts with Community Legal Services, foster youth programs, and legal support projects for families in need.
