Kristin Dittus

Kristin Dittus is an estate planning attorney at Life & Legacy Planning, Ltd. in Denver, Colorado. She has more than 20 years of experience helping individuals and families address estate planning concerns. Her work includes wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health directives, wealth preservation, tax planning, and business succession. She further advises clients with complex assets on strategies involving wealth transfers and estate and inheritance tax considerations.

Dittus earned her LL.M. through the University of Denver Graduate Tax Program. She earned her J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law and her B.A. in English and Economics from the University of Vermont. Dittus is actively involved in Colorado’s trusts and estates legal community. She has served on the Executive Council of the Colorado Bar Association Trust and Estate Section and has helped organize continuing legal education programs. Since 2013, she has served as an American Bar Association reporter summarizing lectures from the annual Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning. She has further written and presented on powers of attorney, Medicaid planning, blended-family estate planning, asset protection, and tax planning.

Kristin Dittus is licensed to practice in Colorado and New York. She has served as a mentor through the Colorado Attorney Mentoring Program and held leadership roles with the Women’s Estate Planning Council. Her professional affiliations include the Colorado Bar Association Trust and Estate Section and Rocky Mountain Estate Planning Council.
