Kristen earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law, where she was copy editor for the Law Review and received recognition as best oral advocate in moot court. She went on to complete an LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law and Policy at the University of Washington. Her thesis on genetic exceptionalism and gene patentability was selected for publication in the Washington Journal of Law, Technology & Arts. She also holds a B.A. in Neuroscience from Vanderbilt University.
Prior to focusing her practice on intellectual property, Kristen worked with a national defense firm, representing clients in a wide range of disputes across multiple industries. She gained extensive pre-trial experience, successfully tried cases to verdict, and achieved reversals of adverse rulings through detailed writ practice. This background provided her with a strong foundation in litigation strategy and courtroom advocacy.
