Kevin Peterford

Kevin Peterford is the Founding Partner and an experienced Palm Beach County criminal defense attorney. He has a background in both prosecution and criminal defense, giving him knowledge of both sides of the courtroom. He uses this experience to protect clients’ rights inside and outside of court.

Kevin earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in 2016. He served as Articles/Comments Editor for the National Security & Armed Conflict Law Review. He also earned his B.A. from Florida Atlantic University in 2012, building a strong foundation for legal practice.

Kevin gained experience with the United States Coast Guard Judge Advocate General, the Department of Homeland Security, and the New York City Office of the Mayor. He also took part in the Nova Southeastern Law School Trial Team and the University of Miami Litigation Skills Practicum.

Kevin worked as a prosecutor for the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office. In that role, he directed thousands of cases, both in and out of the courtroom, and tried over 30 cases to verdict. This work gave him important insight into how criminal cases are prepared and argued.

Kevin later dedicated his time to criminal defense after nearly four years of aggressive prosecution. His background includes DUI arrests, drug trafficking, and other felony crimes. With inside knowledge and strong negotiation skills, he provides excellent legal representation to each client he serves.
