Julie Reczek

Julie Reczek is the founder and lead attorney of Reczek Chase Law, PLLC, based in Louisville, Kentucky. A dedicated family law attorney and public advocate, Julie is recognized for her client-centered legal practice and unwavering commitment to serving Kentuckians facing difficult personal and legal challenges. She focuses her practice on family law and domestic violence cases, working to empower clients of all backgrounds to find strength and resolution through the legal system.

Julie graduated from DuPont Manual High School and earned her Bachelor’s degree magna cum laude from Bellarmine University. She received her J.D. cum laude from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, where she served as Executive Editor of the Journal for Animal & Environmental Law.

Julie began her legal career as a Family Court Staff Attorney to Judge A. Christine Ward. This role laid the foundation for her deep understanding of Kentucky’s family court system. She continues to serve the court as a court-appointed Friend of the Court and Guardian ad Litem, advocating for vulnerable children and families.

Julie’s professional affiliations include the Louisville Bar Association, Kentucky Bar Association, American Bar Association, LGBTQ Family Law Institute, and National LGBT Bar Association. Her leadership and service have earned her widespread recognition, including Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch (2023–2025), Super Lawyers Rising Stars (2024–2025), and the National Academy of Family Lawyers’ Top 10 Under 40 in Kentucky (2022–2024).
