Jonathan W. McConnell

Jonathan W. McConnell is the founding attorney of the McConnell Law Firm, where he focuses on criminal defense and complex litigation. Known for his bold and modern approach, Jon represents clients facing charges such as DUI, white collar crime, false sexual accusations, violent crimes, and appeals. He also handles traffic law and civil litigation matters.

A Wichita native, Jon earned both his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, cum laude, and his Master of Arts in Criminal Justice from Wichita State University. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida. His education provided the foundation for a career dedicated to defending clients’ rights.

Jon’s early experience includes clerking for a Broward County judge, prosecuting cases as an assistant district attorney in Kansas, and defending clients at a criminal defense firm. These roles gave him perspective on both sides of the courtroom, strengthening his skills as a trial lawyer.

In 2014, Jon founded his own firm, which was rebranded in 2017 as the McConnell Law Firm. As its leader, he has built a reputation for fearless advocacy, meticulous preparation, and aggressive defense strategies that consistently earn recognition from peers and legal directories.

Jon’s mission is to protect individuals when others turn their backs. He believes in not only resolving immediate legal issues but also helping clients move forward with confidence.
