Erica Ramstad Whitsell

Erica Ramstad Whitsell is a dedicated criminal defense attorney with the McConnell Law Firm, where she represents clients facing serious charges with determination and creativity. Erica earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English, magna cum laude, with a minor in Spanish from South Dakota State University. She went on to complete her Juris Doctor degree with honors at the University of South Dakota School of Law, where she published two articles in the South Dakota Law Review, addressing issues in criminal law.

Prior to her role at the McConnell Law Firm, Erica defended clients through the Minnehaha County Public Advocate’s Office and the Sedgwick County Public Defender’s Office. These experiences gave her practical courtroom skills and the ability to carefully analyze cases while building effective defenses tailored to client needs.
